About Me
My name is Andy Blanco and I've been a saxophone player, arranger, songwriter, composer, singer, musical director, webmaster, librarian, marketer, and a whole host of other roles for large and small ensembles in and around the Chicago area for several decades.
My bio
Andy Blanco has performed around the world at events like the Kentucky Derby, a U.S. Presidential Inauguration, countless professional sporting events, and venues like the House of Blues, Soldier Field, Paris’ legendary Sunset Jazz Club and many others. His original compositions have been featured on local radio, independent films and television, including the Fox TV series, The Tick and director Paul Bunnell’s The Ghastly Love of Johnny X (2006). He has been a member of the Blooze Brothers, Chicago’s premier Blues Brothers tribute and show band, since 2000. He is also a founding member of Hoodwink'd, a classic rock/funky blues band comprised of veterans of Chicago's music scene.
